Advice for businesses on how to save money and energy
Local businesses looking to save money by being more energy efficient are being invited to attend a seminar being run by Richmond Council on Wednesday, 13 May.
The seminar will provide advice on how businesses can reduce the cost of lighting, heating and equipment, as well as looking at the latest technology and sources of funding.
Cllr Martin Elengorn, Cabinet Member for Environment on Richmond Council, said:
“Becoming more energy efficient is an excellent way for businesses to save money, as well as having the obvious environmental benefits. This is something we as a Council take extremely seriously and we are encouraging as many households and businesses in the borough to do the same.
“We are committed to putting the environment at the heart of what we do and at the same time, helping local businesses beat the economic downturn. This event aims to achieve both of these aims.”
“It will provide a range of useful advice and information and I really hope as many people as possible can attend.”
The event is being held in York House, Twickenham from 9.30am-12pm. To book a place or find out more information contact Sophie Maqsood on 020 8891 7332 or sophie.maqsood@richmond.gov.uk
It is part of the Council’s Go Green Richmond upon Thames initiative that aims to provide support to businesses across the borough to reduce their environmental impact and be more resource efficient.
Other Go Green Richmond upon Thames initiatives include; free environmental management courses for businesses, free environmental audits to identify saving opportunities across energy, waste, water, purchasing and travel and green award schemes.
